On . . . daily soundtracks

 Morning Light, Beck
Some days, I pick a soundtrack, and I put it on a loop.

This is speaking to me today.

On . . . managing diabetes at McDonalds

A one act play

(Scene:  in the drivethrough)
Me:  (clearing my throat) Yes - I'd like a large Coke Zero and a . . .

McDonalds:  Is that all?

Me:  Not quite.  I'd like a large fry and a . . .

McDonalds:  You said a large Coke Zero?

Me:  Yes, and a large . . .

McDonalds:  Thank you, that will be $2.06, please drive around.

Me:  I'm sorry, I have one more thing . . .

McDonalds:  Go ahead

Me:  What sugarfree cold coffees can you make?

McDonalds: Well, we have mocha frappes and cappucinos

Me:  Are both of those cold?

McDonalds: Well, yes, you can get them cold.

Me:  OK, that's great.  I'll take a sugarfree mocha frap.

McDonalds: Well, we can't make a sugarfree mocha.  We don't have sugarfree mocha syrup.

Me:  Oh.  Well, what sugarfree syrup do you have?

McDonalds: (long pause)  We have fat free coffees.

Me:  Well, I don't really need fat free, just sugarfree.

McDonalds:  We have sugafree vanilla.

Me:  Great!  I'll take a sugarfree vanilla  .. . anything coffee that you can make and put on ice.

McDonalds:  Does this complete your order?

Me:  Yes, thank you

McDonalds: What was the rest of your order, again?
